1) Is there a way to get PSCORE by rank in playlist mode? I can see where I can get the value, but not the rank...

Thanks

Short answer: No.

In the Silver program (the original) PScore is numeric value only.

In the Platinum program there are two PScores:

  1. PScore - also called (the original) PScore. FYI, this is the same PScore found in both the original version of JCapper and JCapper Silver.

  2. HDW PScore - based on a more complicated algorithm that "fires" at the very end of the event chain when the Calc Races or Build Database buttons are clicked.

The algorithm that creates HDW PScore uses JPR, JPRMLProb, MLOR3, UPR, UPRMLProb, and MLORX based on UPRMLProb as inputs during calculation.

Both PScores are implemented in the Platinum program as numeric value only.

But...

In the Platinum program you can bring up UPR Tools and 'grab' (the original) PScore. From there you can use it as an input for your UserFactors and UPR.

• In UPR Tools You can also use (the original) PScore as the lone factor in a UserFactor with a 3 Translate Behavior.

When you do this your UserFactor actually becomes a direct translation/replication of the lone factor chosen by you as the basis for your UserFactor.

From there - when you click the Calc Races or Build Database buttons - the interface will generate rank and gap for the UserFactor...

Providing you with rank and gap for (the original) PScore.

But...

In the Platinum program you cannot do the same thing with HDW PScore because it's the very last thing that gets created when you click the Calc Races or Build Database buttons.

Inputs required to create HDW PScore such JPR, JPRMLProb, MLOR3, UPR, UPRMLProb, etc. do not yet exist when UserFactors are created.

Therefore you cannot use HDW PScore in your UserFactors or UPR.

It's a chicken or the egg thing....

Hope I managed to explain most of that in a way that makes sense.

I would assume that the HDW PScore is in the
StartersToday table in the JCapper2.mdb file.

What is the column heading - or is it stored
somewhere else?

The StarterHistory Table Schema Doc lists a column named PScore:

Field Name Data Type	Description
--------------------- ------------- ----------------------------------------------
pscore number single PScore

JCapper Platinum
If you are operating JCapper Platinum in SQL Mode - when you click the Calc Races and/or Build Database button:

If your Data Vendor Setting on the User Sys Defs screen is HDW: The program writes PScore_HDW numeric value to the PScore field.

If your Data Vendor Setting on the User Sys Defs screen is Brisnet: The program writes original (or standard) PScore numeric value to the PScore field.

JCapper Silver
PScore_HDW is not available in JCapper Silver.

If you are operating JCapper Silver in SQL Mode - when you click the Calc Races and/or Build Database button:

• The program writes original (or standard) PScore numeric value to the PScore field.
